Lisa Ladendorff , LCSW

Lisa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 30 years of counseling experience in rural communities. She grounds herself in the practices of Interpersonal Neurobiology and Polyvagal Theory, the sciences of feeling safe through connection with others, to aid individuals and couples in healing from mental health conditions, trauma, and the stresses of living with chronic medical conditions.

She is also skilled in working with people through the transitions of ordinary life and relationships, including parenting by adoption, living with family members suffering with addiction and the traumatic loss of children and other family members.

She is certified in Eye Movement Rapid Desensitization Therapy (EMDR), Polyvagal Interventions, and hypnotherapy, and skilled in other interventions such as interpersonal therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and motivational interviewing.

In her own life she enjoys connections with her network of family and friends, her dogs, her garden, music, knitting and books, and spirituality as a means of creating a fulfilling and joyful life. Her watchwords for her professional and personal healing work are, “Shadow passes, light remains.”
